Wordpress plugin to crop / edit images within Wordpress itself

Hulloooo! I love it when a plugin makes my day! I was just saying this week how awesome it would be if there was a plugin that would edit images without having to do it in Photoshop then re-import. Ask and you shall receive! Here it is:

It’s called Scissors, funnily enough. Here is what the plug in says about itself

This plugin adds cropping, resizing, and rotating functionality to WordPress’ image upload and management dialogs. Scissors also allows automatic resizing of images when they are uploaded and supports automatic and manual watermarking of images. Additionally, images that are resized in the post editor are automatically resampled to the requested size using bilinear filtering when a post is saved, which improves the perceived image quality while reducing the amount of data transferred at the same time.

Thats pretty hard out geeky description but hey. It has 4.5 out of 5 stars which rates well with me! It ROCKS!!! All our new clients will be getting this plugin included in our Ultimate PLugin list for sure!!

New changes to Facebook Pages that could be making your layout weird RIGHT NOW

Sooooo my business friends and social networking addicts … Facebook have made some changes to the pages layout. This is the pages in the tabs like maybe your welcome page or about… you know those cool ones

The changes can be seen on some profiles (they gave us a warning) but they will be in place soon so you will want to check your pages.

Anyway – this video will explain all that to you Basically the width of pages was 760px wide and now it’s 520px.

It also tells you about our new Facebook Page package too

I’m writing this for a bit of fun because the following is a document of ACTUAL going on’s in the office of Big Fish Website Design. This should really be called the 7 ways to know you should work at Big Fish Web Design. I could go on but there are websites to be built

You know you’re a geek or online marketer when…

1) All your favorite things start with i (iPad, iPhone iPod…)

2) Are often heard saying “I have that font”

3) At least twice a day you think to yourself “There’s a blog post in that!”

4) You see trips to Dick Smith Electronics as a staff outing

5) You consider a work break to be checking your Facebook, Tweeting or watching Youtube videos

6) If you get less than 50 emails a day you double check your host in case it’s down

7) You own 1 or more portable hard drives anywhere from 500 gig upward.
